Previous Experience
Owen boasts an impressive portfolio of previous experience, having toured alongside renowned artists such as Will Young, Michael Bolton, The Christians, Hue and Cry, and Journey South. He has also supported a diverse range of acts including Lemar, The Feeling, Macy Gray, and Newton Faulkner, to name a few.
His talents extend to recording music for various media productions, including the soundtrack for the Hollywood movie "Bobby" directed by Emilio Estevez. Notably, his rendition of the Paul Simon track "Anji" was featured in the film. Additionally, Owen has contributed to television series such as Channel 4's "Banged Up Abroad," Sky 1's "Mad Dogs," and the Trevor McDonald documentary "Inside Death Row."
For several years, Owen was a member of the London-based band Honey Ryder, achieving two UK top 40 hits with singles "Numb" and "Fly Away." He also had the honor of performing with Honey Ryder at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and supporting Will Young on his UK tour.
Continuing his musical journey, Owen remains active in writing and performing with Honey Ryder. Their album "Marley's Chains" has garnered significant attention, with three songs playlisted on Radio 2, Smooth FM, and numerous commercial stations across the UK.
In addition to his musical endeavors, Owen has made appearances and performed on various television shows, including BBC Breakfast, Channel 5, Live with Myleene Klass, ITV 1's This Morning, and the BBC Radio 2 weekend Wogan show, where he and Honey Ryder had the opportunity to perform and be interviewed by Sir Terry Wogan.
